Mildred H. Shelton

(HEFLIN) Mildred H. Shelton, 84, of Heflin died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, at her daughter’s home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Shelton were at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Jackson officiating. Burial followed at Heflin City Cemetery.

Mrs. Shelton was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. She retired from Moore Business Forms and was a member of Happy Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Christine (husband Harry) Blanton of Wedowee; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Faye Bromley of Orlando, Fla., Betty Jean Ashley of Anniston, Linda Howell of Suwanee, Ga., and Geraldine McMahan of Anacoca, La. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Shelton.

Pallbearers were Jimmy Bragg, Roy Blanton, Lynwood Williamson, Bryan Shelton, Tim Rider, Toney Rider, Jason Shelton and Jamison Shelton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Happy Hill Baptist Church.
