James T. McCormick

(ROANOKE) Funeral services for James T. McCormick, 64, of Roanoke were at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at Benefield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Stephen Dedman officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, Wedowee.

Mr. McCormick died Thursday, Sept. 8, at his home.

Mr. McCormick was born Sept. 2, 1947, the son of Travis and Velma Cumbee McCormick. He was of the Baptist faith and had been a paper carrier.

Mr. McCormick is survived by one brother, Josh McCormick of Roanoke. Mr. McCormick was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers were Tommy Martin Sr., Tommy Martin Jr., Dustin McCormick, Davy Lindsey, Cody Lindsey and Jerry Baker.
