James Ernest Noles

(ROANOKE) Services for James Ernest Noles, 89, of Roanoke will be Sunday, July 10, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Steve Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 noon on Sunday.

Mr. Noles died Thursday, July 7, 2011, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Harper Noles of Roanoke; two sisters, Annie Kate Barnes of Roanoke and Robbie Bledsoe of Montgomery; one brother, Grady Noles of Corpus Christi, Texas; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mike Clark, Ragan Clark, Jim McKinney, Brian Huey, Byron Morrison and Tommy Huey.

A Roanoke resident most of his life, Mr. Noles was a Randolph County native, born Sept. 8, 1921, son of John Manoa and Naomi Noles. He was Baptist by faith, a WWII Air Force veteran and a retired Mutual Savings Insurance agent.

The family requests no flowers and suggests memorials to Roanoke First Baptist Church (827 Main St., Roanoke, AL 36274).
