Ruby Grace Pike Arrington

(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Ruby Grace Pike Arrington, 82, of Roanoke will be Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Forest Home Congregational Christian Church with the Revs. Wayne Cowhick and Stoney Halsey officiating. Burial will follow at Pike Cemetery.

Mrs. Arrington died Thursday, March 10, at Roanoke Healthcare.

A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Arrington was born March 14, 1928, daughter of Elbert D. and Irene C. Folsom Pike. She was a member of Forest Home Congregational Christian Church and had been employed with Handley Mills, Palm Beach Company and Amoco.

Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Patricia Ann and Mike Weathers of Roanoke, Gail and Larry McGill of Wadley and Susan Marie and Wayne Cowhick of Alex City; one son, Harvey Darden Arrington Jr. of Roanoke; three sisters, Faris Arrington, Dorothy Pate and Clemen Knight, all of Roanoke; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey D. Arrington Sr.; three brothers, Herbert, Recel and David Pike; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Shane Weathers, David McGill, Tim Arrington, Ben Arrington, Hal Arrington, Vayden Pate, Randy Knight and Steve Pike.
