Carey Joe Brooks

(ROANOKE) Funeral services for Carey Joe Brooks, 67, of Roanoke will be at 1 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2011, at Trinity Baptist Church with the Revs. Junior Plunkett and Richard Richie officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memory Gardens.

Mr. Brooks died Wednesday, March 2, at Roanoke Health Care.

Mr. Brooks was born May 16, 1943, the son of Landers and Rosa A. Brown Brooks. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and had been a supervisor for Amoco Fabrics and Fibers.

Mr. Brooks is survived by his wife, Judy Phillips Brooks of Roanoke; one daughter, Darlene Baldwin of Roanoke; one son, Phillip Brooks of Joppa; one sister, Dorothy Plunkett of Arab; and three grandchildren. Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Leroy and Doug Brooks.

Pallbearers will be Corky Frost, Kenis Rowlan, Lindsey Stephens, Ralph Wilder, Herman McDow and Allen Ramsey Jr.
