Felton Haynes Smith

(PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga.) Felton Haynes Smith, 92, of Pine Mountain, Ga., died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010.

Mr. Smith was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Roanoke. He was the son of the late Ernest Jefferson Smith and Tennie Cooper Smith. Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army during World War II and fought during the Battle of the Bulge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Lacy Smith. He worked many years as a delivery milkman.

Survivors include his daughter, Charlotte Burgos of Montgomery; three brothers, Curtis Smith of Tampa, Fla., Alvin Smith of Valley and Awbrey Smith of St. Charles, Mo.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. EST Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with the Rev. Tom Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Hillview East Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. EST prior to the service.
