Cora Lee Garrett Grier

Funeral services for Cora Lee Garrett Grier were Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Atlanta. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta.

Ms. Grier was born May 16, 1933, in Woodland, Ala., to the late ElcaneIy Garrett and the late Dollie Lee Foster Garrett. She was united in marriage to the late Jesse Will Grier in July 1950 and remained married to him until their divorce in 1998. Cora Lee was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Melvin L., Lance L. and Creighton A. Garrett; and sister, Judy Lee Garrett Holloway (Elsie).

She will be mourned by her daughters, Dorthina Grier Grant and Theresa Grier RusseII (husband William D.); brothers, Rev. Charlie W. Garrett, William H. Garrett, Willie F. Garrett and Donald Garrett; sisters, Patricia A. Garrett and Sandra Garrett Parks; three granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
