Ava Ruth Stephens

(WADLEY) The funeral for Ava Ruth Stephens, 86, of Wadley will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Quick officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery, Roanoke.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 26.

Miss Stephens died Saturday, April 24, at Randolph Medical Center.

Survivors include one brother, Jesse B. Stephens of Wadley; several nieces and nephews.

Miss Stephens was born July 21, 1923, the daughter of Walter B. and Annie Ruth Littlefield Stephens. She was a member of Radney’s Chapel Methodist Church and had been a seamstress for Palm Beach Company. Miss Stephens was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Emily Stephens Mitchum.

Pallbearers will be Waymon Hodges, David Harmon, Daryl Harmon, Mark Amason, Randy Stephens and Coty Yarbrough.
