Delmer Nathaniel Adams

(WADLEY) The funeral for Delmer Nathaniel Adams, 70, of Wadley will be Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Revs. George C. Adams Jr. and Bill Trawick officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Munford at the Old Munford Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30.

Mr. Adams died Sunday, March 28, at Randolph Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Rheba Haynes Adams of Wadley; two daughters, Renea Adams of Wadley and Lynne Adams of Dothan; one son, Nathan Adams of Auburn; one sister, Margaret Arrington of Oxford; four brothers, George C. Adams Jr. of Boaz, Dan Adams of Ohatchee, Roy Adams of Talladega and Buddy Adams of Able; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rex Adams, Todd Adams, Greg Adams, Danny Adams, Tim Adams and Lynn Coker.

Mr. Adams was born July 13, 1939, the son of Ida Moxley Adams and George C. Adams Sr. He was a member of High Pine Baptist Church and had been manager for 30 years at Ace Hardware of Roanoke. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Inez Watts.
