Jack Phillips

(CAMP HILL) Jack Phillips, 78, of Camp Hill died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at Bethany House Hospice in Auburn.

A graveside service was Thursday, Sept. 17, at 11 a.m. CDT at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Clifford DeLee officiating.

Mr. Phillips is survived by three sisters, Catherine Foster of Valley, Clara Mae Pike of Wadley and Floy Phillips of Roanoke; two brothers, Frazier “Pete” Phillips of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and Ray D. Phillips of LaFayette; two stepchildren, Lewis “Bubba” Mezick of Camp Hill and Mary Ann Murphy of LaFayette; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Phillips was born March 14, 1931, in Tallapoosa County. He was retired from the Chambers County Highway Department.
