Frank Hammock

(POWDER SPRINGS, Ga.) Frank Hammock, 90, of Powder Springs, Ga., formerly of Abanda, Ala., died Friday, April 3, 2009, at his home.

Services were at Abanda Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 5, with interment in Concord Cemetery, Wadley The Rev. Mickey Vaughn officiated.

He is survived by his wife, Grace Sharp Hammock of Powder Springs; and two daughters, Sandra Bickford of Destin, Fla., and Beverly Murray of Powder Springs.

Mr. Hammock was born Oct. 14, 1918, in Clacksville. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired farmer. He also operated a furniture store in Wadley and later moved it to Abanda. He was a member of Abanda Baptist Church.
