Opal F. Holden

(ROANOKE) Services for Opal F. Holden, 74, of Roanoke will be Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Richie officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 4.

Mrs. Holden died Tuesday, Dec. 2, at East Alabama Medical Center.

Survivors include two sons, Bobby Holden of Roanoke and Randy Holden of Moneta, Va.; one brother, Harvey McGuork of Hartsville, Tenn.; three granddaughters in Memphis, Tenn.; one grandson in Roanoke.

Pallbearers will be Tim Mann, James Norred, Brandon Smith, Mike Owens, Doug Hill and Jimmy Lynn Watson.

Mrs. Holden was born Feb. 13, 1934, daughter of Dallas and Nettie Dunn McGuork. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and had been a spinner for Candlewick Yarns. Mrs. Holden is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, William McGuork.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Trinity Baptist Church Family Life Center in her honor.
