Ima Lou Phillips

Services for Ima Lou Phillips, 83, of Delta will be Tuesday, July 15, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Center West Baptist Church, with the Revs. Steve Dempsey and Jerry Colquett officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Phillips died Saturday, July 12, at her residence. She was born in Cleburne County but had lived most of her life in Randolph County, was a homemaker and a long-time member of Center West Baptist Church, where she had taught Sunday school for over 40 years.

She is survived by two sons, Donald Ray Phillips and Doyle Leon Phillips of Delta; one sister, Glenda Jarrell of Lanett; three brothers, Joe Key and Virgil Key of Delta and Robert Key of Valley; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel Cephas Key and Tommie Jane McLeod Key; her husband, Freddie Phillips; one sister, Dorothy Moncus; and two brothers, Oma and Virdis Key.

Pallbearers will be Doug Johnson, Johnny Buckhannan, Johnny Johnson, Paul Johnson, Roger Buckhannan and Gene Miller.

The family will receive friends Monday at Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and until service time on Tuesday.
