Flora L. Wright

(WEDOWEE) Services for Flora L. Wright, 95, of Wedowee will be Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Leven’s Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Bob Traylor and the Rev. Tim Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.

Miss Wright died Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Clay County Hospital.

Survivors include five nephews and nieces, Ned Wright and Wyatt Wright III of Wedowee, Julia Ann Joyner of Newnan, Ga., JoAnne Clarkson of Clay County, and Bill Clarkson; a sister-in-law, Inez Wright of Wedowee; and eight great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy McCain, Donald McCullers, Carl Nelson Jr., Wayne Taylor, Robert Cox, Wallace Lee, Charles Perry, Larry Messer and Terry Graham.

Miss Wright was born June 18, 1912, daughter of Wyatt and Bertha Capehart Wright Sr. She was a member of Leven’s Baptist Church and taught high school math for Randolph County Schools. Miss Wright was a member of the Wedowee Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wyatt Wright Jr. and Charles William Wright; one sister, Isabelle Clarkson; and one nephew, Barry Wright.
