County water customers getting radio-read meters

On Monday, Jan. 7, the Randolph County Water, Sewer and Fire Protection Authority began replacing its customers’ existing water meters with new radio-read meters. The new meters will allow personnel to read your meter with a laptop computer located in their service truck as they drive by.

The employees want customers to be aware that they will be swapping out the meters and not to be alarmed if they see a crew changing out their meter.
