Jean Roberta Wiggins

(NEWELL) Jean Roberta Wiggins, 62, of Newell died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008.

Mrs. Wiggins was born Sept. 28, 1945, to the late Claude and Lilla Douglas Tucker. She was a homemaker and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Newell.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Wiggins, and son, Ken Wiggins, both of Newell; brother, Doug Tucker of Bowdon, Ga.; sisters, Thelma Tucker of Barnesville, Ga., Evelyn Buchanan and Millie Smith of Bowdon and Wilma Wilson of Lake City, Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Vurlis Tucker; and sisters, Jessie Aultman and Linda Wiggins.

Services were Saturday, Jan. 6, at 2 p.m. CST at Antioch Baptist Church in Newell with the Revs. Ridley Herren and Ray Runyan officiating. Tonya Messer provided the music. Pallbearers were Samuel Allums, Ronnie Young, Jason Tucker, Randy McManus, Jason Meadows and Greg Daniel. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
