James David Bassett

(ROANOKE) James David Bassett, 51, of Roanoke died Thursday, Oct. 11, 2007, at LaGrange Hospice.

Services were Saturday, Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Bryan officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Bassett is survived by two daughters, Ashley Bassett of Columbus, Ga., and Jillian Bassett of LaGrange, Ga.; one granddaughter; three sisters, Wanda Moore of Talladega, Shirley Ussery of Roanoke and Lisa Rider of Valley; and three brothers, Kenneth Bassett of Valley, Jerry Bassett of Auburn and Steve Bassett of Anniston.

Mr. Bassett was born Aug. 3, 1956, in Baltimore, Md. He was an avid sports fan and was a diehard Auburn fan. Mr. Bassett loved life and his family. He was a member of Wehadkee Baptist Church of LaGrange.
