B.B. Simpson
(WOODLAND) B.B. Simpson, 74, of Woodland died Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, in Piedmont.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Audrey McFry Simpson; two daughters, Tina Montgomery of Griffin, Ga., and Angela Garrison of Frederick, Md.; two sons, J.B. Simpson of Northport and Bruce Simpson of Shalimar, Fla.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his mother, Lola Simpson of Woodland; and one sister, Barbara Turner of Hartselle.
Mr. Simpson was a Piedmont native and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a minister, missionary, school teacher, airplane pilot, inventor, paramedic, carpenter, electrician, heavy equipment operator and linguist. He had five college degrees and authored many books. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Simpson; one sister, Sue Lawler; and one brother, Charles Simpson.
