Walter R. Garrett Jr.

(SAGINAW, Mich.) Services for Walter R. Garrett Jr., 59, of Saginaw, Mich., will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 120 North 15th Street, Saginaw. St. Paul Pastor Vincent D. McMillon and Pastor Jacob Gaines of New Missionary Baptist Church will officiate, with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Mr. Garrett died Thursday, May 24. He was born March 27, 1948 in Chattanooga, Tenn.

He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Tina Woolery of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Rayvonda and Tavonna Garrett and Trina Townsend, all of Saginaw; two sons, Walter R. Garrett III and Courtney Burch of Saginaw; his stepfather, William Carter of Saginaw; three sisters, Brenda Lawson of Saginaw and Cheryl Broom and Cathy Stanley of Columbus, Ohio; four brothers, Thomas Garrett of Roanoke, Robert Garrett Jr. of Chicago, William Stanley Carter of Shreveport, La., and Mark Garrett of Columbus, Ohio; a stepbrother, Robert Williams III; stepsisters, Deborah Bandy, Jackie Williams, Shelley Johnson and Nikki Jackson; 20 grandchildren: and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Pearl Carter, and his father, Walter R. Garrett Sr.
