Louise Gray Smith

(VALLEY) Louise Gray Smith, 93, of Valley died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at George H. Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, May 22, at 2:30 p.m. at Fairfax Cemetery with the Rev. Steve York officiating.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her nieces, Delores Benefield Pitts, Cindy B. McGinty, Marion Bradfield and Faye Fuller; and her nephews, Wynton T. Benefield, Allen W. Benefield and Stell Gray.

Born April 10, 1914, in Wadley, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Mary Lizzie Phillips Gray and Waymon Leon Gray. She was a retired employee of WestPoint Home’s Fairfax Mill and was a charter member of Fairfax First Baptist Church.

The family respectfully declines the honor of flowers and asks that memorials be made to Fairfax First Baptist Church in her memory.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 22, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home, Valley.
