Rosie L. Thornton-Cunningham
(ATLANTA) Rosie L. Thornton-Cunningham of Atlanta, Ga., died Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at Hospice Atlanta Center.
Services will be Saturday, May 12, at 1 p.m. at Wehadkee Missionary Baptist Church, Roanoke, with the Revs. Elijah Jackson, L.B. Houston and Johnny Thornton officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include nieces Maggie Rowland, Tracy Thornton and Earnestine Thornton of Atlanta, Linda DeSouza, Doris M. Bonzo and Thelma Denise Sims of Decatur, Ga., and Odessa Keith of Cleveland, Ohio; and nephews Calvin Thornton and L.C. Thornton of Atlanta, Gene Thornton of Springfield, Va., and Alvin Thornton of Suitland, Md. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Cunningham; a brother, King George Thornton; and a sister, Mary Ann Robinson.
Public viewing will be at Clark Memorial Funeral Service from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the funeral.
