Dura Pearl Langley Burke
(CUMMING, Ga.) Services for Dura Pearl Langley Burke, 84, of Cumming, Ga., formerly of Roanoke, will be Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Napoleon East Church of Christ, with Bro. Forest Chapman officiating. Mrs. Burke will lie in state one hour before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Mrs. Burke died Friday, Feb. 9, at Peachtree Christian Hospice.
Mrs. Burke is survived by two daughters, Linda Savenellie of East Haven, Conn., and Susan Jones of Bremen, Ga.; two sons, Michael Burke of Newnan, Ga., and Billy Burke of Cumming; two sisters, Rubye Bailey of Valdosta, Ga., and Sylvia Cork of Newnan; one brother, Vann Langley of Wedowee; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Walter Waddell, Christopher Burke, Dustin Burke, Trip Waddell, Duane Bassett and Jeff Towler.
Mrs. Burke was born Sept. 3, 1922, daughter of Melvin and Evie Wilson Langley. She was a member of Fayetteville Church of Christ, a retired sales clerk for Rich’s Department Store and a member of the XYZ Senior Citizens of Riverdale, Ga. Mrs. Burke was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jefferson Burke; one sister, Eileen Butler; one daughter, Dianne Fuss; and one brother, Rance Langley.
