Merlyn Bradford Breed

(JACKSON, Ga.) Services for Merlyn Bradford Breed, 90, of Jackson, Ga., formerly of Roanoke, will be Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, Roanoke, with the Rev. Richard Richie officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday.

Mrs. Breed died Tuesday, Jan. 2, at Newton Medical Center, Covington, Ga.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Francis Jenkins of Jackson, Ga.; one son, Ricky Breed of Murphy, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Breed was born Oct. 16, 1916, daughter of William and Leola Elizabeth Bradford. She was a member of East LaGrange Baptist Church and had been a housewife. Mrs. Breed was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Breed.
