Announcements: Youth football signups, softball tourneys set
Season tickets for the upcoming Woodland varsity football season are now available to past season ticket holders for $50.
The tickets will be available strictly to past season ticket holders until Friday, August 18 when the remainder will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.
Roanoke youth football
The Roanoke recreation department will hold registration for youth football on the following dates: Saturday, August 12, from 10 a.m. – noon; and Augst 15, 17, 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
No child will be signed up after August 21. You may also come by the recreation center from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday to sign up.
Registration is open to all children ages 8-12.
Cost is $30 for those who register on or before the 12th and $35 for those who register on any of the later dates.
Also, anyone wishing to coach youth football must attend a meeting Monday, August 7, at 7 p.m. at the recreation center.

Wadley youth football
Signups for Wadley youth football will be Wednesday, August 9, and Friday, August 11 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the old band room at Wadley High School. Signups are open to all kids ages 7-12.
The cost will be $40 for registration plus cost of jersey.

Softball tournament
Roanoke Little League will host a men’s softball tournament on Saturday, August 12. Any .44 or .47 core ball is allowed. USSSA pitching and bat rules will apply. There will also be a five home run limit.
A $125 entry fee is required for each team.

Woodland youth football registration will be Saturday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Roanoke Quarterback Club will meet Thursday, August 10th at 7 p.m.at the new field house at Wright Field.
Lineville softball tourney
A men’s softball tournament to benefit Lineville High School baseball will be held at McCrary Field in Lineville August 11 and 12.
