Power Outage

Lack of electricity did not stop Woodland schools Tuesday. The accident report had not been turned in to the Jacksonville State Trooper Post by The Randolph Leader’s deadline. But, Superintendent Wayne Wortham said his understanding was someone had struck a guide wire and it had to be repaired. He said power to the Woodland area was out until 10 or 10:30 a.m. However, it did not affect lunch because some of the stoves are powered by gas. All the children were served lunch and the day continued as usual, he said.
