Lucille Briskey Staples

(LANETT) Lucille Briskey Staples, 49, of Lanett died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta.

Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Wadley, with the Rev. Cornelius Reese officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the church one hour before the service.

Mrs. Staples was born Aug. 3, 1956, in Chambers County. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Ezekiel Briskey Sr., and a daughter, Katina Walker.

Surviving are two daughters, Brenda Walker of Conyers, Ga., and Kenyal Parker of Clinton, Md.; her mother, Maggie Briskey of Lanett; five brothers, Sandrew Briskey of Wadley, Harvis Briskey of Valley, Ronnie Briskey of Lanett, Frank Briskey of Five Points, and Ezekiel Briskey Jr. of Lanett; two sisters, Levarn Briskey and Denise Briskey of Childersburg; two aunts; two grandsons; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
