Orbin Nobles
(ROCK MILLS) Services for Orbin Nobles, 81, of Rock Mills will be Sunday, May 1, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Frank Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
Mr. Nobles died Thursday, April 28, at Randolph Medical Center, Roanoke.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Joyce Kiser of Jacksonville, Fla.; one son, Larry Lamar Nobles of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Mildred Drinnon of Palmetto, Ga.; one brother, Raymond Lee Nobles of Jacksonville, Fla.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Nobles was born May 12, 1923, son of Raymond and Bertie Anderson Nobles. He was a member of Rock Mills Church of the Nazarene, a retired truck driver for Roadway Express, and a member of #600 Masonic Lodge in Union City, Ga. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Nobles was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Christine Nobles; his parents; and two brothers, Gordon and Ervin Nobles.
