(ROANOKE) Arrie Smith, 106, of Roanoke died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005, at Wedowee Hospital.
Services will be Saturday, Feb. 19, at 1 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall in Roanoke with Bro. Joe Minniefield officiating. Interment will be in Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery, Welch. She will lie in state at the Kingdom Hall one hour before the service.
A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Smith was born March 24, 1898. She was the second child of 24 children and the last survivor. Mrs. Smith was a faithful member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Surviving are one sister-in-law, Willie Lee Smith of Roanoke; six generations of nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
