A Wedowee man was lifeflighted to Piedmont General Hospital in Georgia close to noon last Tuesday after being run over by a red Ford Explorer on County Road 26 in the Level Road area. A passerby stopped to help Aundra Contrel Robinson, 45, who was lying on the side of the road in distress. The victim was transported by EMT to a landing zone at Corinth Volunteer Fire Department.
• A 3-year-old boy was transported to Tanner-East Alabama Medical Center after being bitten in the face by a pitbull on Pineywoods Drive. He had been playing with her puppies when the incident happened.
• A Roanoke man was arrested July 6 after he was accused of stabbing a woman in the hand with a butcher knife. The incident occurred at a residence on Government Street and stemmed from an agrument between Eugene Harold Tucker, 54, of Roanoke, and the alleged victim. Tucker was arrested and charged aggravated assault with a knife.
• A Roanoke woman was arrested July 1 after allegedly vandalizing a residence while the residence was occuppied. The incident took place at a home on Hill Street, where Nakylia Monee Allen, 24, of Roanoke is accused of breaking several windows and damaging an air conditioning unit. Allen was arrested and charged with criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.
• Rock Stand Volunteer Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in the yard of Steven Brown on County Road 65 near Broughton on Sunday. Brown had just returned home when the 1998 Pontiac Firebird caught on fire. No one was injured.
• A scrapped green 1994 Ford Mustang was reported stolen from County Road 110 at Graham on July 4.

- Brandy Lynn Bozeman, 19, of Wedowee – failure to appear in court (expired tag) – July 4
- Heather Renee Cole, 41, of Athens, Ga. – fugitive from justice in Carroll County, Ga. – July 3
- Corey Bernard Swint, 48, of LaFayette – failure to appear in court (third-degree theft of property) – July 4
- Jacob Lee Lovelace, 35, of Woodland – violation of family protection order – July 5
- Terrance Durand Sims, 49, of Wedowee – failure to appear in court (child support) – July 5
- Timothy Ray Nelson, 21, of Wadley – third-degree domestic violence – July 5
- Kristen Leanne Herren, 49, of Roanoke – second-degree theft of property – July 8. This is an additional charge for Herren in connection with the theft of a storage building on County Road 628 near Big Springs. The first victim reported the theft of the storage building on June 10, but a second victim reported that he purchased the building from a man on Facebook Marketplace and hired someone to move it. When he went to pick it up, two women were still emptying it. The “seller” filled out a bill of sale. It was upon further investigation that he later learned that the building was owned by someone else.
