Ruby Nell Boggs Madden

(LAFAYETTE) Ruby Nell Boggs Madden, 91, of LaFayette died Monday, Sept. 5, 2005, at LaFayette Nursing Home.

Mrs. Madden was born in Rock Mills on June 30, 1914, daughter of the late Joseph Brently Breed Boggs and William Hudson Boggs. She was a homemaker and assited her father, who was a well-known potter in Alabama. She was a member of Highway Methodist Church in Randolph County.

Survivors include two daughters, Martha Jo Hubbard of Opelika and Betty Ann Null of Virginia Beach, Va.; two sons, James T. Madden of Pembroke Pines, Fla., and Winfred Madden of Opelika; tow sisters, Dorothy Boggs and Doris Moon of Lake Charles, La.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Madden, and a daughter, Sandra Annette Avooske.

Services will be at Highway Methodist Church on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Potash Ridge Cemetery. The Rev. Vernon Willis will officiate.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. (EDT) at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
