John David Rushton
(LAFAYETTE) Graveside services for John David Rushton, 63, of LaFayette, formerly of Roanoke, will be Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Christian Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Jeff Thorn officiating.
The family will receive friends at Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
Mr. Rushton died Monday, March 12, at his home in Chambers County.
Survivors include his wife, Rosa Lee Cosper Rushton of LaFayette; and a brother, Hoyt Rushton of Hogansville, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Junior Riddle, Charles Smith, Steve Field, Gregg Thorn, Larry Richardson and Dick Conway. Charlie Christian will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Memorials may be floral of the family suggests contributions to the New Hope Christian Church Cemetery Fund.
A Randolph County native, Mr. Rushton was born July 22, 1943, son of Henry Dave and Millie Cofield Rushton. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of Anioch Baptist Church in LaFayette and had been employed as a machinist with the Falk Corporation.
