Gladys A. Brown

(ROCK MILLS) Services for Gladys A. Brown, 83, of Rock Mills, will be Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, at 2 p.m. from the Rock Mills First Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Quattlebaum Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15.

Mrs. Brown died Friday, Dec. 14, at Lanier Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, William O. Brown of Rock Mills; two daughters, Marie Nix of Rock Mills, Andrea Ray of LaFayette; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Parmer, Harold Wilson, Gene Burks, Herby Burgess, Bill Head and Louis Davis.

Mrs. Brown was born Sept. 9, 1924, daughter of Charlie and Bela Atkinson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rock Mills and had been a textile winder for Wehadkee Mills. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her first husband, Loyd Cook; one brother, Judson Atkinson; one sister, Lucy Knight.
