James Walter ‘Jack’ Bolling

(LAGRANGE, Ga.) Services for James Walter “Jack” Bolling, 81, of LaGrange, Ga., will be Monday, May 26, 2008, at 2 p.m. (CDST) at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, with the Revs. Willis Bailes, Gerald Sheppard, Don Howard and Sonny Weldon officiating. Burial will follow at Big Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Mr. Bolling died Wednesday, May 21, at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Aleria Lucille Blackman Bolling of LaGrange; one daughter, Eva Bailes of Hogansville, Ga.; four sons, Robert M. Smouse of Tampa, Fla., Joseph M. Martin of Cumming, Ga., and Jerry R. Bolling and Jordan D. Bolling of LaGrange; one sister, Luvernia F. Lee of Tampa, Fla.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Robert Smouse, Joseph Martin, Jerry Bolling, Jordan Bolling, Gary Bolling and Stan Bolling.

A Crenshaw County native, Mr. Bolling was born Dec. 29, 1926, son of John W. and Lena Weaver Bolling. He was a member of Freewill Full Gospel Church in LaGrange and served as head deacon. Mr. Bolling was a retired assistant inspector with American Can Company.
