Commander to chair Alabama Council of Hospital Auxiliaries; Wedowee Auxiliary wins state awards
Beverly Commander, a charter member of the Wedowee Hospital Auxiliary, was installed as the new chairperson of the Alabama Council of Hospital Auxiliaries at the yearly conference held October 20-23 at Lakepoint Resort State Park in Eufaula.
Beverly has been an active member of the auxiliary, serving as local president and chair of several committees. She also has held District III and state level positions, including assistant state chairperson. Most recently she served as the interim state chairperson.
The Wedowee Hospital Auxiliary received several awards at the conference, including second place for yearbooks and for tray favors, and third place for special projects. Members of the Wedowee Hospital Auxiliary attending were President Martha Crawford, Vice-president Jo Kicker, corresponding secretary Katie Rampy, chaplain Mary Worley, and members Julia White, Robert Kicker and Beverly Commander.
