Mark Mason

(HUGULEY) Mark Mason, 59, of Huguley died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at his residence.

The funeral will be Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 2 p.m. EDT at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley with the Revs. Rusty Letson and Jackie Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Johnson Memorial Gardens.

Born June 15, 1955, in West Point, Ga., Mr. Mason grew up in Woodland and worked for Belcher’s Jewelry for 34 years. He loved hunting, fishing, dirt track racing and Alabama football. Mr. Mason was of the Baptist faith. His favorite pastime was being with his grandchildren.

Mr. Mason is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jackie Mason; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kelli and Bryan Colley of Huguley and Alison and Ryan Yarbrough of Valley; four grandchildren; his mother, Nellie Faye Bennett and sister Emily Mason, both of Roanoke. Mr. Mason was preceded in death by his father, J.W. Mason; and his brother, Benny Ray Mason.
