Lazaro E. Wilson

(ROANOKE) Lazaro E. “Papi” Wilson, 79, of Roanoke, formerly of Miami, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2021, at Tanner Medical Center, Carrollton, Ga.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, Aug. 10, at 1 p.m. at Vines Funeral Home Chapel, LaFayette, with the Rev. G.H. Pulliam officiating.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Sallie Meadows, Roanoke; two sons, Benjamin Meadows (Annie) of Roanoke and Lorenzo Meadows (Crystal) of Miami; daughter, Valerie LaBranche (Wilson) of Miami: three sisters-in-law, Joan Knight of Albany, Ga., Rudine Buchanan of Roanoke and Linda Rutlin of Wedowee; 11 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
