On July 13th, the Randolph County Liners visited Traylor’s Nursing Home to entertain the residents with a few songs and dances. Amy Smitherman brought top hats for everyone to wear, so, the dancers put on their top hats and danced to “Putting On the Ritz,” “Top Hat, White Tie and Tails” and “New York, New York.”
The residents were able to tip their hats as the dancers tipped theirs. They all looked great. The line dancers then took off their hats to dance to songs about summer. The residents enjoyed tunes like Nat King Cole’s “Lazy, Crazy, Hazy Days of Summer,” The Drifters’ “Under the Boardwalk” and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band’s “Fishing in the Dark” to name a few. The dancers love to see the residents singing along. It’s such a blessing to share the fun of line dancing with these wonderful people.
