Randolph County Sheriff’s Deputy Neil Fetner has been selected as one of only 100 law enforcement officers nationwide to attend the prestigious Federal Bureau of Investigation National Command Course next month in Washington, D.C.
The highly competitive leadership program is designed to enhance executive-level skills for senior law enforcement professionals from across the United States.
The FBI National Command Course brings together a select group of law enforcement leaders for advanced training in strategic leadership, organizational management and contemporary policing challenges. Participants engage in comprehensive instruction covering topics such as crisis leadership, ethical decision making, personnel management, organizational effectiveness and interagency collaboration.
The selection of Fetner, whose primary duties with RCSO are to oversee operations at the county jail, reflects his ongoing commitment to professional excellence, leadership development and dedicated service to the citizens of Randolph County.
Participation in this elite program will further strengthen his ability to lead effectively and implement innovative strategies that benefit both his agency and the community it serves.
“This opportunity represents a tremendous honor and a significant investment in professional development,” said Fetner. “I look forward to gaining valuable insights and bringing back knowledge that will enhance our agency and better serve our community. I am grateful to Sheriff David Cofield for approving my participation in this program.”
Throughout his career, Deputy Fetner has actively sought opportunities to improve working conditions, professional development, and employee benefits for the men and women serving in the public safety profession. Fetner’s selection underscores the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office’s commitment to fostering strong leadership and maintaining the highest standards of public service.
Fetner is a Certified Law Enforcement Executive in the State of Alabama and a graduate of the FBI Southeastern Law Enforcement Executive Development Seminar.
