Meldarene Green

(RIDGEVILLE, S.C.) Meldarene G. Green, 58, of Ridgeville, S.C., died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005. Services were at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Old Fort Baptist Church, Summerville, S.C.

Mrs. Green was born June 1, 1946, in Randolph County, daughter of the late Guy and Lois Yarbrough Gay. She was married Aug. 19, 1967, to James E. Green, who survives. Mrs. Green was a retired service representative with BellSouth Telephone Company, was a member of the BellSouth Pioneers of America and Old Fort Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Julia Ann McCrakcin of Cottageville, S.C.; two sisters, Geraldine Heard of Oxford, Ala., and Kathy King of Dalton, Ga.; and two grandchildren.
