Former Handley and Southern Union baseball standout Chase Hall will make the trip to Omaha this week as a member of the Auburn Tigers team that will participate in the College World Series.
Hall graduated from Handley in 2015 and played the following two seasons at Southern Union before joining Auburn for the 2018 season. He did not see any game action and redshirted last year, but he played in 10 games as one of the team’s backup catchers this season.
Hall got seven starts and went 4-for-25 (.160) at the plate with a double and three RBI for the season.
He got the start against Jacksonville State and former Handley and Southern Union teammate Taylor Craven and went 1-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in a 14-2 Auburn victory on April 23.
Auburn will begin play in the College World Series against Mississippi State Sunday at 7:30 p.m. That game can be seen on ESPN2.
