The Randolph County Commission is considering the feasibility of closing and vacating a section of roadway in the Swagg Community being more particularly described as follows:

Commencing at 1/2" Capped rebar accepted as being the NW Corner of Lot # 1 of Longview Subdivision, recorded in Plat Book 3 at page 36 in the Office of the Judge of Probate, Randolph County Alabama, thence S 13°30'24" E, a distance of 35.00' to a corner set on the east right of way of County Road 256 (R/W 60'); thence S 76°27'25" W, a distance of 60.11' to a corner set on the west right of way of said road; thence N 12°20'17" W, along said right of way a distance of 98.82' to the center of an old road bed assumed to be old road #256 (R/W Assumed to be 30') said point being the POINT OF BEGINNING; of road to be abounded thence the following courses along said center of old road the following courses: S 16°16'33" W, a distance of 42.78'; thence S 06°09'56"W, a distance of 61.53'; thence S 04°22'02" W, a distance of 72.73' to the POINT OF ENDING with the 795' contour of RL Harris Reservoir (AKA Lake Wedowee).

A public hearing will be held in the Commission Annex located at 12 Broad Street East in Wedowee Alabama during the regular scheduled Commission Meeting on November 23, 2020 at 3:00 pm. Interested parties should contact Burrell Jones, County Engineer, at (256)357-2311.
