The East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission is applying to the Alabama Department of Transportation for an administrative, operating and capital assistance grant under 49 U.S.C. Section 5301, et, of the Federal Transit Laws, as codified. The operating grant may provide financial assistance for public transportation services for the residents of Randolph County during Fiscal Year 2021 as well as provide financial assistance to purchase capital equipment, and to purchase goods and services needed to combat contaminations related to COVID-19. The system is currently being proposed and planned. The capital grant will also provide for COVID-19 related non-vehicle capital items for the Areawide Community Transportation System. Copies of the proposed service description and project budget may be obtained and commented upon at: EARPDC, 1130 Quintard Ave. Suite 300, Anniston, Alabama, between 9 am and 3 pm. The proposed project will be final unless amended. This project will be included in the State Transportation Improvement Program and/or the local Transportation Improvement Programs. This notice shall constitute the final program of projects for the East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission unless the scope of the project changes as a result of input gathered during the public hearing.
