Mrs. Cosper was born Feb. 19, 1922, in Chambers County to the late Beulah and Lonnie Marshall. Susie has been referred to by many as one of the sweetest souls and was cherished by her family and friends. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Lanett. Grandmother Cosper loved the Lord with all her heart. She prayed fervently for her family to come to know the Lord. She could always be found sitting on her couch reading her Bible daily. She loved quilting for her family and tending to her flower garden. When asked what her secret was to a long life, her reply was "working hard."
She is survived by her five children, Barbara Hughes (Darryl) of Oden, Ark., Lee Ruston of LaFayette, Julia Richardson (Larry) of Marcoot, Ronnie Cosper (Marsha) of Roanoke and Ken Cosper (Pam) of Sharpsburg, Ga.; seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Cosper, six brothers, four sisters and granddaughter, Tina Anderson.
