(WEDOWEE) On Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022, Benny Lee Kimble, 59, passed away at his residence in Wedowee.
Viewing will be Friday, Oct. 28, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Midway Family Life Center in Wedowee.
A graveside service will be Saturday, Oct. 29, at noon at Pine Flat Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Calvin W. Trammell Sr. officiating and Elder Thomas Knight, eulogist.
Benny was born Dec. 5, 1962, in Wedowee, to the late James Ralph and Vicie Kimble. He graduated from Randolph County High School, where he was a standout football player. After high school Benny took on many jobs, enjoying each one of them. He worked with Asplundh Tree Services for many years, and he also worked in construction. In his final days he worked with dear friend Robert Marable in the lawn care business. Benny was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Wadley.
He is survived by his son, Novel Quinton Trammell of Roanoke; sisters, Rebecca Marbara (Orlander) of Carson City, Calif., Myrtis Williams (Noah) of Compton, Calif., and Patricia Rogers (John) of Wedowee; brothers, James Kimble and Herbert Kimble, both of Wedowee, and King Victor Kimble and Johnny Kimble (Tawana), both of Anniston; special friend, Robert Marable of Wedowee; host of other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Welch Kimble; brother, Robert Kimble; sister, Reacie Bailey; and sister-in-law, Hazel Kimble.
