(ROANOKE) A graveside service for Richard Awbrey Crockett, 65, of Roanoke will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at Highway First Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery with Bro. Mike Brewer officiating and Quattlebaum Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

Mr. Crockett died Feb. 17 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika.

A Heard County, Ga., native, Mr. Crockett was born June 21, 1955, the son of David B. Crockett Sr. and Hollis Awbrey Crockett. He was a retired certified auto technician and a member of the U.S. Coast Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Teresa Rushing Crockett of Roanoke; daughter, Lisa Richmond (Jason) of Marietta, Ga.; two sons, Mark Kirby (Tisha) of Franklin, Ga., and Stevie Bolt (Delana) of Roanoke; 10 grandchildren, Megan Kirby, Katelyn Kirby, Kiley Kirby, Austin Miller, Caleb White, Daniel Holloway, Clayton Holloway, Kamlyn Holloway, Ambrose Richmond and Ocia Anna Richmond; and two sisters, Pat Norred (late, Jerry Norred) of Roanoke and Susan Jacks (Donald) of Ringgold, Ga. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David B. Crockett Jr.

Pallbearers will be Michael Rushing, Jimmy Albright, Benji Starnes, Clayton Holloway, Austin Miller and Kiley Kirby.
