(WEDOWEE) The funeral for Jonathan Taylor McManus, 29, of Wedowee will be Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021, at noon at Benefield Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Daniel officiating. Burial will follow at Gold Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery, Graham.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday.
Taylor passed away Saturday, Sept. 11, in Georgia.
A Randolph County native, Taylor was born Oct. 17, 1991, the son of Dale Morrison and Sabrina McManus Lovvorn. He was a member of Penfield Christian Church and worked building cargo trailers for Freedom Trailers in Tifton, Ga. Taylor served in the Alabama National Guard.
Survivors include his mother, Sabrina McManus Lovvorn of Wedowee; father, Dale Morrison of Newell; paternal grandmother, Helen Morrison of Newell; brother, Tyler Lovvorn (Paige) of Wedowee; nephew, Daniel Jones; aunt, Tina Kilgore of Wedowee; and uncle, Michael McManus of Wedowee. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Wayne and Shirley Ann McManus and Clarence "Babe" Morrison; and uncles, Billy Wayne McManus, Randy Wallace McManus and Mark Anthony McManus.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Jones, Derek Whaley, Edward Whaley, Austin Coleman, Robbie McManus, and Jeff Skinner. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Smith, Gerry McManus, Matt Shelton, Anthony Higgins and Tyler Lovvorn.
