(LaFAYETTE) Edna Eugenia "Jean" Spence Nunn, 79, of LaFayette died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, at her residence.
The funeral will be Saturday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m. at Lebanon Presbyterian Church in the Buffalo community with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Shelly Nunn Martin and Dr. Don Nunn will officiate.
Mrs. Nunn was born in Buffalo on Sept. 11, 1935, to John Morgan Spence and Edna Earle McCarley Spence. She graduated from Five Points High School in 1953, attended Berry College in 1953-54 and graduated from Indiana University in 1995. She was a member and elder of Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Buffalo.
Survivors are her husband, Dr. Ernest Wesley Nunn of LaFayette; her daughter, Anne E. Nunn Bredeck (husband, Martin) of Alexandria, Va.; her son, Ronald W. Nunn (wife, Kay Marten) of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Lena Spence of Sanford, Fla., and Sara Spence Slagle of LaFayette; brother, Jimmy Spence of Dalton, Ga.; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Morgan Spence Jr.; and sister, Mary Spence Hughs.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lebanon Presbyterian Church Trust Fund, c/o Linda Hodge, P.O. Box 63, Five Points, AL 36855.
