(ROANOKE) Angel Marie "Buffy" Treadwell, 49, of Recreation Drive, Roanoke, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at WellStar West Georgia Medical Center, LaGrange.
Viewing will be Monday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Clark Memorial Funeral Service.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. at Peace and Good Will Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. L.B. Houston, Rev. Calvin Trammell, Rev. Teddy Talley, Rev. Leroy Smith and Apostle Alvin Godfrey officiating. Music will be by New Creation in Christ, the McPherson Family and Wantika Treadwell Rowland.
Mrs. Treadwell was born in Roanoke on Dec. 1, 1970, to the late Lorenzo Linson and Bernice McPherson Linson Cofield. Born into a family of singers, "Buffy" was a gifted vocalist. She was a member of Peace and Good Will Baptist Church and sang in the choir. A 1989 Handley High School graduate, she attended Southern Union State Community College. She worked in the textile industry, most recently at Mohawk Industries.
She is survived by her husband, Chris Treadwell; four children, Jasmine Marquetta Linson, Jamonica Treadwell and twins William Christopher Treadwell and Wantika Charmaine Rowland (Kentovian), all of Roanoke; eight grandchildren; brother, Lorenzo Jermaine Linson of Roanoke; stepfather, Howard Cofield Sr. and step-brother, Howard Cofield Jr. (Shaye), both of Roanoke; father- and mother-in-law, William and Ethel Treadwell of Roanoke; other family and friends.
