(WOODLAND) A graveside service for Evelyn M. Bonds, 87, of Woodland will be Tuesday, May 18, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Liberty East Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Wade Price and Bro. Barry Yates officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday.

Mrs. Bonds passed away Sunday, May 16, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation.

A Randolph County native, Mrs. Bonds was born Sept. 20, 1933, the daughter of Lonza and Dennia Davis Mitchell. She was a member of Liberty East Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress for Bremen-Bowdon Investment Company.

Survivors include her caregivers, Johnny and Brandy Mitchell of Woodland; sister, Rebecca Yates (Douglas) of Woodland; and nephew and nieces, Barry Yates, Sonja Yates, Peggy Pike, Richard Pike (Wonder), Jane Crenshaw, Barbara Curry, Johnny Mitchell, Joan Dixson, Tammy East and Sharon Tanner. Mrs. Bonds was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George W. Bonds; sister, Cena Pike; and two brothers, Handley Mitchell and Lonzie Mitchell.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Mitchell, Barry Yates, Hunter Mitchell, Richard Pike II, Bradley Horton and Paul Wiggins.
