Imogene Heard Owen Cosper

(OXFORD) A funeral service for Imogene Heard Owen Cosper, 94, of Oxford will be Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021, at noon in the Toby Miller Chapel at Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Embry officiating. Burial will follow at Oxford Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends on the same day from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mrs. Cosper died Saturday, Feb. 20.

She was born Dec. 5, 1926, in Cleburne County to Stell Blake and Lanie Frances Morrison Heard. Mrs. Cosper was a member at Oxford First Baptist Church. She retired from East Alabama Eye Clinic after 30 years of service.

She is survived by her daughter, Toni Gay of Wadley; brother, Charles Heard of Decatur; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Harold Owen; second husband, Bobby Cosper; son, Hal Owen; brothers, Author, Arnton, George and Albert; sisters, Myrtis, Daisy and Ruby; and son-in-law, Ray Gay.

Pallbearers will be Oliver Heard, Bud Heard, Mike Bates, Phillip Heard, Chip Daniel and Kevin Tolbert.

Her family would like to thank OFBC Homebound Ministry and her loving caregivers.

Due to the current COVID-19 protocol, all those in attendance will be asked to properly wear a facial covering and advised to social distance.
